I’m Myra Lee, your hostest with the mostest! 

I started Made to Celebrate because I believe joy is found in the small moments. My name is Myra Lee, I am children’s book author and an early childhood educator for over 20 years. Do you know what that means? I have seen my share of celebrations! My students birthdays, parents new jobs, the birth of a baby, successful potty training, holidays and more. You name it, I have probably celebrated it. At some point in my career, I realized there’s a day to celebrate almost anything. And boy, do I love to celebrate. So quite naturally I started looking up quirky National Holidays and celebrating them too. I was posting National kissing day with my husband, and hug-a-tree day for with my students. I even got my colleagues to celebrate National holidays with me, which brings me to the here and now with you. Life is full of doubt, uncertainty, and disappointment and it’s easy to get swept away in the despair. But, if you take a few moments to be grateful for all that you are and all that you have around you. You’ll see, things aren’t so bad. And if you’re thinking um but, Mrs. Myra, it truly is that bad…guess what the next celebration is right around the corner, and I’m here to share it with you. Welcome to our own little party.
